The fifth edition of the Cinemana International Film Festival CIFF, which kicked off on Sunday in the Musandam Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman, honored the artist Ayman Zeidan for the feature film “Days of bullets” .
Dr. Khaled bin Abdul Rahim Al Zadjali, head of the CIFF said in a statement to SANA correspondent: “The festival aims to shed light on the cultural, tourism and economic movement in the Sultanate of Oman by holding festivals, hosting stars, and other accompanying activities and events”
He added “we seek through these cultural activities to spread the culture of cinema, and introducing the role of cinema in the cultural movement, in addition to highlighting young talents in the field of filmmaking and encouraging and developing creative content.”
The first day of the festival witnessed the screening of the feature film “Days of bullets” which was produced by the National Film Organization written by Ayman Zeidan in cooperation with Ahmed Adra, and directed and acted by Zidan, in addition to an elite group of Syrian actors.
The events of the film tell the story of a man who wants to regain his social status after being retired, but at that moment, he faces several challenges.
The CIFF, in which a group of leading Omani and international artists and directors participate, is held on 28-31. 130 films are participating in the event.
