Artifacts Stolen by Terrorists in Palmyra Restored

HOMS,(ST)_ Competent authorities seized eight stolen artifacts dating back to the first and second centuries AD, hijacked by terrorists from several archaeological sites and were hidden in one their hideouts in Homs countryside for smuggling out of Syria.

According to curator of Palmyra ‘s Museum Dr. Khalil al-Hariri the two hard-limestone heads  for two priests from Palmyra of hard limestone.  One is medium-sized and the other is of a large size and  part of a funeral scene, part of a statue for a woman from Palmyra, a  bust of a priest and other pieces.

Hariri added that the museum received these pieces from competent authorities and professionals in the museum are documenting them according to standard scientific methods and techniques.
