Arslan: Sweida Blasts Aims to Sew Sedition among Locals, Undermine People’s National Unity

BEIRUT, (ST)- Secretary of the Lebanese Democratic Party Talal Arslan has stressed that the terrorist blasts which targeted the Syrian province of Sweida on Friday aimed to sew sedition among the people of Mount Arab area and to undermine their unity.

Interviewed by “al-Mayadeen” Channel last night, Arslan said the people of Sweida are clear in their strategic political option and their commitment to the Syrian social fabric and unity under the umbrella of the Syrian leadership. They are adherent to their national stances and to their state and army and this is the reason why they are being targeted by terrorism.

 

Arslan added that the Takfiri terrorism doesn’t only target Sweida, but Syria as a whole. He stressed that the people of the Arab Mount are now stronger than before in the confrontation of terrorism, conspiracies and sedition plots.

The two blasts claimed the lives of 38 people wounded scores of others.
