Arnous to head an economic delegation to Iran to discuss bilateral cooperation and ways to enhance trade exchange
Prime Minister Engineer Hussein Arnous is scheduled to head an economic delegation to the Islamic Republic of Iran tomorrow, so as to discuss bilateral cooperation relations, issues related to the joint economic cooperation agreement, and ways to enhance trade exchange.
During the visit, Arnous will chair the meetings of the Joint Higher Committee for Cooperation between Syria and Iran for the Syrian side. The Committee is scheduled to discuss all aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the economic, commercial and scientific fields and to cast light on the progress made in bilateral relations, especially at the economic level, and the mechanisms for implementing the agreements and memorandums of understanding that have been reached during the visit of the Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi to Syria. when Raisi met with President Bashar al-Assad. In addition, a number of documents and understandings related to joint work will be signed to contribute to pushing Syrian-Iranian relations forward and achieved the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
The delegation, to be headed by Engineer Anous, includes the Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, Muhammad Hassan Qatana, the Minister of Electricity, Ghassan Al-Zamil, the Minister of Industry, Abdul Qadir Joukhadar, the Chairman of Planning and International Cooperation Authority, Fadi Salti Al-Khalil, the Governor of the Central Bank of Syria, Muhammad Issam Hazma, and the Director of the Asia Department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Muhammad Haj Ibrahim.
Yesterday, the meetings of the Joint Ministerial Economic Committee for Cooperation between Syria and Iran began in the Iranian capital, Tehran, which is headed for the Syrian side, by Dr. Muhammad Samer Al-Khalil, Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, and for the Iranian side, by the Minister of Housing and City Building, Mehrdad Bazarbash.
