The Prime Minister, Husain Arnous in an interview with Syria and al-Ikhbariya  TVs referred to some important topics:

– There are more than 2400 facilities operating in the industrial cities for which we secure energy.

– In the field of electricity we have given priority to the production sector.

– There is no approval of projects with traditional energies until we make great strides in the alternative energies.

– “Subsidization policy is a strategic method for Syria and we will not abandon it.”

– The alternative energies sector was absent in the past years when the situation was comfortable before the war, but today there is a great trend towards alternative energy.

– We have more than 100 megabytes of alternative energy and work has begun, 33 megabytes of which have been put into service.

-The reason behind shortage in the petroleum products is the US occupation which loots the production of Syrian wells of oiland gas in Al-Jazeera.

– A contract has been signed for a 300 megabytes solar power plant, and we are discussing other contracts amounting to 500 megabytes.

– Decree 32 allowed the transfer and distribution of electricity generated from solar energy.

– Law 32 created the alternative energies contribution fund and put at its disposal 10 billion Syrian pounds to start.
