Arnous meets the departing  Iranian ambassador in Damascus 

Damascus, (ST) – Prime Minister Eng. Hussein Arnous met  yesterday with the Iranian ambassador to Damascus, Mahdi Sobhani, on the occasion of the end of his duties as ambassador of his country to the Syrian Arab Republic.

During the meeting, the strength of bilateral relations and the need to open broader horizons for cooperation were emphasized, in a way that strengthens and deepens these relations and serves the interests of the two friendly peoples and countries.

Arnous expressed his thanks and appreciation for the efforts made by Ambassador Sobhani to develop Syrian-Iranian relations in various fields and overcoming obstacles to the implementation of the agreements signed between the two countries in various sectors. He expressed his appreciation to Iran’s leadership, government and people for providing various types of support to the Syrian people during the years of the terrorist war against Syria, in addition to the humanitarian aid it provided to those affected by the recent earthquake, wishing the ambassador success in his future missions.

For his part, Ambassador Sobhani pointed out that his country continues to provide support to Syria and stand by the Syrian people, stressing the continuation of work to push forward cooperation relations in the interest of the two countries and peoples.
