Army wipes out scores of terrorists, kills Saudi colonel in Syria

PROVINCES,(ST)-Army units continued to smash terrorist groups’ dens and groupings in mop-up operations staged  in various areas nationwide  during which heavy weaponry were destroyed and a large number of terrorists were eliminated.

In Damascus Countryside, two shells fell on Harasta suburb, one of them landed on B1 Island, causing the injury of a woman who was admitted to hospital for treatment, while the other shell fell on B3 island, causing material damage to the citizens’ properties, with no human casualties, a source at the Police Command told the official news agency.

In Daraa and its countryside,units of the armed forces carried out operations against terrorists’ dens and groupings in Daraa al-Balad, Jordan Street, al-Bajabjeh neighborhood, Tafas, Nawa, al-Nasriyeh, Jamleh, al-Shajra and Sahim al-Golan and the area surrounding al-Aswad Mosque in Atman village .

Meanwhile, a military source said  that the army units foiled an armed terrorist group attempt to infiltrate from Lebanon into Syria through al-Mathuma site in Talkalakh countryside.

The source added that an army unit killed and injured scores of terrorists in al-Mshajar al-Janobi neighborhood in Talbisa in the countryside and in Bab houd neighborhood in the city.

In  Idleb countryside, units of the armed forces killed terrorists who were attempting to attack military checkpoints in al-Arbaain mountain, Marzaf, al-Badriyeh and Sarja ,killing all terrorists inside them,”an official source told a local media.

In Damascus Countryside, a series of concentrated operations were carried out against terrorists’ gatherings in different areas in Damascus countryside in which the army units killed non-Syrian terrorists, including Jordanians and Somalis.

“the  army units destroyed several terrorists’ dens in Rima farms and the eastern and northern farms of al-Nabek city, the farms of Qara city ,the farms of Deir Salman and the surrounding of al-Qarieh al-Shamiyeh ,Alieh farms in Douma, Zamalka-Erbin ,Yelda,Daraya,al-Zabadani and al-Qaboun.

In Lattakia, units of the armed forces killed a number of terrorists, injured others in the village of al-Wadi in Rabi’a, in Lattakia countryside and destroyed terrorists’ cars loaded with

The source said that 46 terrorists, among them a Saudi connection colonel named Abu Daifallah al-Saudi and a French and two British terrorists, were killed.

In Aleppo,a military source said that all members of armed terrorist groups who were looting and attacking the citizens in al-Dbait street, the vegetables souk in al-Ashrafiyeh neighborhood, Salah-Eddin and Bustan al-Kasser neighborhoods and the old city of Aleppo, were eliminated and injured.

The source added that a big number of terrorists were killed and injured in an operations by the army against the terrorists’ hideouts in Talet al-Ghali, al-Nakarin, Biyanon, al-Sheikh Said, Maqtaa al-Bakkarah, the area surrounding Aleppo central prison and al-Kastillo.
