Provinces – Syrian Arab Army regained control on Thursday over the villages of Um Khan and Um al-Umod Qebli in the south eastern countryside of Aleppo, inflicting heavy losses upon Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization’s personnel and equipment.
A military source said that the Syrian Arab Army and allied forces continued their military operation against Jabhat al-Nusra’s hideouts in the south-eastern Aleppo countryside, regaining control over the villages of Um Khan and Um al-Umod Qebli to the to the south-west of Khanasir town, SANA reported.
According to the military source, dozens of al-Nusra terrorists were killed, as the army units destroyed a number of their armored vehicles and their fortified positions.
Hama and Idleb
Units of the Syrian Arab Army confronted an attack by Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization and affiliated takfiri organizations on military posts in the countryside of Idleb and Hama.
SANA said that the army units in cooperation with popular defense groups clashed with terrorists of so -called al-Hizb al-Tirkistani and Jabhat al-Nusra, who attacked the military posts in the surroundings of Atshan, Tal Maraq, al-Khawin, Arad al-Zarzour and Um al-Khalakhil in the southeastern countryside of Idleb and the northeastern countryside of Hama.
The terrorist attacks were thwarted after destroying large amounts of ammunition and vehicles of the Takfiri members, killing many of them including leaders, while the rest of them fled away, the reporter said, adding that army seized BMP vehicle, Hummer armored vehicle, ammunition, Turkish-made binoculars left behind by terrorists in the area surrounding al-Khwin village.
Ibrahim Kahloul Alian, leader of the so-called the “battalion 111”, Hasan Abu Khadijeh , the leader in Failaq al-Sham and the nicknamed Abu Seif, the leader of Qittaa Hama were identified among the killed terrorists.
SANA said that Air force and Artillery of the army carried out intensive strikes against gatherings and fortified points for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in al-Latimineh town in northern countryside of Hama, inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and weaponry.
Meanwhile, terrorist organizations posted on their social media pages the names of dozens of their dead who were killed during the attack, including one of the military leaders of “Ahrar al-Sham” named Bassam Khattab aka “Abu Saif Kefr Awid”.
