HAMA, (ST)-A Syrian army unit managed on Sunday to foil an attempt by terrorists to deliver gasoline to ISIS extremists in Hama eastern countryside.
The operation is part of the army’s constant efforts to cut off ISIS supply routes.
An army unit clashed with a terrorist group while trying to convey a tanker carrying some 8000 liters of benzene from Wadi al-Atheb to ISIS terrorists in Uqayribat town, about 70 km east of Hama, a field sources told SANA reporter.
The clash, according to the source, ended up with seizing the tanker and injuring a number of terrorists who fled away to the eastern desert of Hama.
ISIS-affiliated terrorist groups continue to steal oil from wells in the Syrian Badia, refine it in primitive ways and smuggle part of it abroad, particularly to Turkey in direct coordination with Erdogan, members of his family and some Turkish regime officials.
