Army Seizes Huge Amount of Weapons, Ammunitions and Chemical Elements in ISIS Dens in Deir Ezzor

DEIR EZZOR, (ST)- The Syrian Arab army’s mopping up operations continued in the city of Deir Ezzor to dismantle and remove the explosive devices planted by ISIS terrorists in the buildings, houses, streets and squares of the city in a failed attempt to hinder the progress of the army units.

Deir Ezzor was declared yesterday entirely liberated from terrorists after the last stronghold of ISIS terrorist takfiri organization was eliminated.

SANA reporter in Deir Ezzor, said that immediately after announcing that security and stability was restored to Deir Ezzor, the army’s engineering units started carrying mopping up operation in the city. During the operation, they found chemical elements and a number of explosive devices in al-Reshdeya neighborhood in addition to a factory for manufacturing explosive devices. They also found small spy planes, bombs, mines and explosive belts ISIS terrorists had prepared to carry out attacks against the people of Deir Ezzor.

 The reporter also said that the engineering units found also a vehicle laden with explosives containing chemical agents and also seized six tanks used by ISIS terrorists.

Meantime, during mopping up operations in al-Mayadeen city, southeastern Deir Ezzor, the army found huge ISIS dens that contained thousands of different kinds of weaponry including Israeli-made weapons.
