Army repels al-Nusra terrorists’ attacks in Hama countryside

Hama – Syrian Arab Army units destroyed with precision strikes many vehicles including SUVs, armored vehicles, and car bombs used by terrorists to attack Tel Meleh and Kafrhoud in Hama’s northern countryside, killing many terrorists.

SANA said army units continued to pursue the remnants of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists after inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and equipment, despite the large number of terrorists and car bombs with which the terror organization had attempted to breach the engagement lines.

SANA said the car bombs were destroyed by the army before they could reach the engagement lines, and at the same time carried out concentrated strikes targeting the terrorists that had attempted to sneak across the front lines, in addition to targeting their supply routes and command centers using artillery and rockets.

The social media accounts of terrorist groups affiliated with Jabhat al-Nusra admitted they suffered heavy losses in equipment and that a number of their leaders were killed, including terrorist Abdulbasset al-Sarout.

On Friday evening, the terrorist groups had carried out an intensive attack on the area near Kafrhoul and Tel Meleh using new weapons and vehicles supplied by the Turkish regime in an attempt to make up for their losses, but army units repelled the attack, inflicting heavy losses upon the terrorists.

On a relevant note, the reporter said army units carried out concentrated strikes targeting terrorist groups that had been firing shells and rockets at Shaizar village and surrounding areas in Hama’s northern countryside, which resulted in destroying a number of rocket launchers in addition to killing and injuring a number of terrorists.

SANA went on to say that army units carried out concentrated operations targeting terrorists’ supply and movement routes from Idleb countryside to Hama’s northern countryside, which resulted in destroying vehicles and killing and injuring a number of terrorists at the outskirts of Khan Sheikhoun and al-Habbit.
