Army reestablishes full control over new areas in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor – Army and Armed Forces units established full control over the town of Ma’adan, one of the biggest ISIS bases on the southern bank of the Euphrates River between the provinces of Deir Ezzor and Raqqa.

SANA said that the army, in cooperation with the supporting forces, established control over the town after carrying out typical operations against ISIS terrorists, leaving scores of terrorists dead and injured, making the countryside on the southern bank of the Euphrates between Deir Ezzor and Raqqa completely clear of ISIS terrorists.

Earlier today, army units and supporting forces, established full control over the village of Ma’adan Atiq in the Western countryside of Deir Ezzor province after carrying out typical operations against ISIS terrorists.

On the eastern bank of the Euphrates River, the reporter said that army units in cooperation with allies reestablished full control over the village of Mazloum and some strategic positions in the town of Khasham after carrying on severe clashes with the ISIS terrorists, killing and injuring a number of them.

The army units also pursued the ISIS terrorists in Howeijet Sakker area, inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and equipment.
