DEIR EZOR, (ST)- The Syrian Arab army has opened humanitarian corridors in Deir Ezzor as to help civilians leave ISIS-held areas where the terror organizations has been taking children, women and elderly people as human shields.
SANA correspondent in Deir Ezzor said that all procedures and arrangement have been taken by the governorate to ensure the stay of the citizens who will leave from the areas controlled by ISIS and to provide them with all forms of assistance and meet their basic needs.
The governorate urged all people of Deir Ezzor who are still living in ISIS-held areas to go to the nearest Syrian army position from where they can be moved to safer places.
On Tuesday, a unit of the Syrian Arab Army secured the arrival of 21 civilians, including children and women, to the city of Deir Ezzor after they were liberated from one of the dens of ISIS in the western countryside of the city.
The moment the Syrian army broke the siege, which was imposed on the city of Deir Ezzor, the government established a bridge to convey different kinds of food supplies and basic materials in support for the steadfast locals who have suffered for more than 3 years from the siege and crimes of ISIS.
