DAMASCUS COUNTRYSIDE, (ST)- Units of the Syrian Arab army managed Monday evening to liberate a number of abductees who were held by armed groups in the Central part of eastern Ghouta in Damascus Countryside.
SANA reporter to Erbin safe corridor said that 28 abductees, held for years by terrorists in Erbin town, were liberated by the Syrian army. The released persons were taken to hospital to check their health condition.
Some of the liberated abductees talked to SANA about their abduction conditions, stressing “we were confident that the Syrian army will come to liberate us from takfiri terrorists who maltreated and humiliated us. The terrorists prevented our access to food and medicines and forced us to dig tunnels and carry out hard works in order to get our food.”
Eng. Zuheir Mahmoud al-Ali, who was kidnapped from the city of Adra by the terrorist organizations, said “my health condition is bad because of maltreatment and the lack of food and medicines which the terrorist prevented us from getting although they know about my bad health condition. He added “the terrorists sometimes gave us invalid medicines.”
He thanked the Syrian Arab army for liberating them, pointing out that homelands are built by knowledge and faith, not by ignorance and that these takfiri terrorist groups won’t be able to divide the Syrian people apart.
