Army kills ISIS and al-Nusra terrorists

Provinces – The Army and Armed Forces, continued on Friday carrying out counter-terrorism operations across Syria, targeting terrorists in several areas and inflicting heavy losses upon their ranks and equipment, SANA reported.

Homs

Army units killed more than 52 ISIS terrorists and destroyed 5 booby-trapped vehicles, 3 combat vehicles and a number of equipped-machineguns vehicles in Tadmur (Palmyra) area in the countryside of Homs.

Among the killing terrorists were Maskhadov Khan of a Chechen nationality, Abu Torab al-Makki and Hamdi al-Hejama of a Saudi nationality.

 

In the northern countryside of Homs, the reporter said that an army unit targeted with artillery fire the fortifications of Jabhat al-Nusra in al- Zaafarania and al-Ghanto villages, killing a number of terrorists, among them Louay Assaf, Taher Ahmad, Samir Abu Talib, Mohamed Ka’ka and Ali al-Agha and destroying their weapons and ammunition.

Army units directed accurate strikes on fortifications of terrorist organizations to the west of al-Rastan city in the northern countryside of Homs, according to a military source.

The source said that a workshop used to manufacture rocket shells was destroyed due to the strikes.

The source added that a number of terrorists were killed and a plant for manufacturing improvised explosive devices and rocket shells was destroyed in al-Zaafarania village in Talbeisa area.

Lattakia

An army unit carried out accurate bombardments on the axis of movement of Jabhat al-Nusra-linked terrorist group in the vicinity of al-Yamama village in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

A military source said that the bombardments resulted in destroying a machinegun-equipped car, killing and injuring a number of terrorists.

On Thursday, an army unit killed 4 terrorists and injured 10 others in Fallah village in Lattakia northern countryside.

Aleppo

Army units destroyed 5 machinegun-equipped vehicles for ISIS in Deir Hafir area in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, killing a number of terrorists in the process.

Quneitra

An army unit, in cooperation with popular defense groups, eliminated a terrorist group belonging to Jabhat al-Nusra in the surroundings of Khan Arnaba town in Quneitra countryside.

An army unit clashed with a group of 9 terrorists who attacked a military position in the surroundings of Khan Arnaba, killing them and destroying their weapons and munitions.

Another army unit targeted with artillery fire the hideouts and fortifications of terrorists on Ofania village, killing and injuring a number of terrorists.
