Army kills Daesh terrorists in al-Sukhna Badya, destroys terrorists’ fortified positions in Daraa countryside

Provinces – An army unit on Thursday eliminated a terrorist group from Daesh (ISIS) in the depth of al-Sukhna Badyia (desert) in Homs eastern countryside.

A military source told SANA that an army unit monitored the movements of a terrorist group from Daesh on one of the axes of al-Sukhna Badyia, 70 km to the east of Palmyra.

The source added that all members of the terrorist group were killed and their equipment and motorcycles were destroyed.

 Daraa

The artillery of the Syrian Arab Army carried out concentrated bombardments on dens and fortified positions of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization and the affiliated groups in the northern and northeastern countryside of Daraa.

SANA said that the bombardments targeted gatherings and dens of the terrorist organizations in al-Hrak city, 30 km to the northeast of Daraa city and in Busr al-Harir town in the southern part of al-Lajat hill in the northern countryside

A number of terrorists were killed or injured as their fortified positions and equipment were destroyed.

SANA added that terrorists Imad Airsan Farhan al-Hariri, Fadi Yaser al-Salamat and Naser Subih al-Masri were identified among the killed terrorists.

Quneitra

An army unit foiled an attack by Jabhat al-Nusra-linked terrorists on a number of military posts in the surroundings of al-Baath City in Quneitra.

SANA said that an army unit, in cooperation with the popular defense groups, engaged in violent clashes with Jabhat al-Nusra- affiliated terrorist groups which infiltrated from the direction of al-Hamidiya village to attack a number of military posts in the surroundings of al-Baath City.

SANA added that the terrorists’ infiltration attempt was foiled after killing a number of terrorists and injuring others, in addition to destroying their arms and ammunition.

The remnants of the terrorist groups fled towards al-Hamidiya village and its surroundings.
