Army hunts down more terrorists in Hama’s northern countryside

Hama – More than 30 terrorists were killed during military operations by the Syrian Arab Army against gatherings and movements of terrorist groups affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra in the northern countryside of Hama.

SANA said that army units, in cooperation with popular defense groups, clashed with terrorist groups that had attempted to infiltrate points in the area between al-Zalakyat and Zelin, with the army restoring control over a number of points after killing more than 30 terrorists and destroying a tank and a BMP vehicle they had been using.

Terrorists Salah Eddien al-Shishani from Chechenya, Ahmad Abdullah al-Fidah, and Moussa Ahmad al-Hoiou from the so-called “Jaish al-Ezza” and Ammar Numan al-Hasan were identified among the dead.

SANA added that the Syrian Air Force and the army’s artillery carried out intensive strikes on gatherings and escape routes of Jabhat al-Nusra on the road of al-Zaka village, the area surrounding the towns of al-Latamina and Kafer Zita, and in the direction of Idleb’s southern countryside, destroying a tank, two sites, and a number of vehicles.
