Army Hits ISIS, Al-Nusra Positions in Several Areas across the Country

PROVINCES-The Syrian Army and Armed Forces, backed by, Air Force, continued Tuesday striking gatherings and fortified positions for ISIS, Jabhat Al-Nusra and other terrorist organization across the country, inflicting heavy losses upon terrorists in personnel and equipment, according to the state news agency SANA.

Damascus countryside

The Syrian Army Air Force on Tuesday carried out several sorties on gatherings of ISIS terrorists in Khan al-Manqoura , 40 km south of al-Seen airport and Beir al-Manqoura, 25 km to the north of the airport, a military source told SANA.

 The sorties resulted in killing and injuring a number of terrorists and destroying fortified positions for ISIS terrorist organization and vehicles loaded with arms and ammunition.

Daraa

Army units inflicted losses in personnel and equipment upon terrorist groups affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra in Daraa al- Balad.

A military source told SANA that army units destroyed a machinegun-equipped vehicle, fortified positions, and an observation post for terrorists at the southern side of al-Jumrok al-Qadeem ( old Jumrok) area in Daraa.

Meanwhile, an army unit foiled a terrorist group’s attack against a military post in Daraa al-Balad, killing and injuring all members of the terrorist group.

Homs

The Syrian Army Air Force also carried out sorties against ISIS terrorists’ dens in the eastern countryside of Homs, destroying two command centers of the terrorists.

A military source said that the sorties targeted the surrounding of al-Sawame area, about 15 km to the east of Palmyra city in Homs province where two ISIS command centers were destroyed.

Deir Ezzor

In the Eastern Province of Deir Ezzor, the Syrian Army Air Force destroyed ISIS vehicles, some equipped with machineguns, in al-Mrei’iyeh, al-Tharda vicinity and al-Jafra in Deir Ezzor.
