Damascus (ST): The participation of some Syrian Arab Army’s helicopters, a huge Iranian plane with 40 tons of water on board have played a decisive role in extinguishing the fires in the high rocky mountains in the area of Shattha in Hama western countryside in parallel with the great efforts exerted by firefighting teams in Hama governorate and other Syrian cities as well as civil defence and members of the Syrian Arab Army personnel.
News reporter said that the Syrian Arab army helicopters and a huge Iranian plane supported the efforts of the firefighting teams and civil defence teams who controlled the fires in Shatha area.
He added that members of the Syrian Arab Army personnel moved to deal with another fire that erupted in Ein al-Shams area in the Western Countryside of the city of Hama.
In the forests of Ein al-Qadib affiliated to Tartous governorate, the fires were extinguished thanks to the collective efforts of the firefighting teams, army personnel, internal security forces and the Syrian Arab army helicopters.
The reporter went on to say that after three days of strenuous efforts, the firefighting and civil defence teams managed to extinguish the fires of Ein Hlakim, Hazzour, al-Hikr and Bait Attaq.
Since the beginning of September, the western Countryside of Hama city has witnessed a series of huge fires that devastated hundreds of acres of agricultural lands.
