Army General Command: Securing the exit of students and officers of the Assad Military Engineering Academy after their heroic confrontation of terrorist attacks

Damascus(ST)-The General Command of the Army and Armed Forces said in a statement that after the legendary fighting steadfastness of the heroic students and officers of the Assad Military Engineering Academy in Aleppo, and their desperate defense of the academy since the first moment of the terrorist attack on the city of Aleppo and their brave and courageous confrontation of the violent attacks carried out by the terrorists to storm the academy with various types of medium and heavy weapons and advanced drones, then their exit to the town of Al-Waha in the Al-Safira area and their encirclement again by groups of terrorists who flocked from the axes, armed with heavy vehicles including tanks, artillery, machine guns and drones, the students and officers were able to stand firm in the face of the terrorists, which resulted in the martyrdom of a number of them and the injury of others.

The Army Command added in its statement that through joint Syrian-Russian military-political coordination, the siege of those terrorist organizations was lifted, and the exit of the academy students was secured and they arrived safely to the city of Homs to provide the necessary care and medical treatment to the injured and wounded among them.
