Army foil terrorists’ attempts to infiltrate into Syria

PROVINCES, (ST)- Units of the armed forces on Saturday continued their daring operations against terrorists  in several areas, killing a number of terrorists and destroying their equipment.

In Aleppo , units of the army repelled an attempt by terrorists to attack the families in al-Ameriya and al-Sayyed Ali, destroying a number of terrorists’ dens and  weapons.

“several terrorists in the areas of Erbid, al-Aboud and in the surrounding of Aleppo central prison ,al-Mansoura, Mayer and Celan were killed,”a military source told the official news agency.

In Damascus and its countryside, units of the armed forces carried out operations against terrorists’ dens and ggroupings in Adra al-Balad, Aliyeh and al-Ebb farms in Douma,Joubar,Qaboun, al-Zabadani city and al-Mleiha, Mniein and al-Hajar al-Aswad towns, killing scores of terrorists and destroying their weapons and ammunition.

In Aleppo, terrorists targeted electricity Ministry workers while they were mending one of the high voltage towers which feeds Aleppo with power.

 “The terrorist attack injured two workers who were immediately admitted to the hospital,” a source at the Ministry said.

Elsewhere, army units on Friday thwarted a terrorists’ infiltration attempt from Lebanese territories into Talkalkh countryside and destroyed dens, weapons and ammunition for terrorist groups in al-Rastan and Talbeise in Homs countryside.

“the army units eliminated an armed terrorist group in the land of Sheikh Ibrahim al-Hakim in al-Rastan. The terrorist group was smuggling weapons to al-Holeh,” a military source told the state-run news agency.

The source added that a number terrorists were killed and wounded in military operations against their hideouts and ggroupingsin al-Ghasbieh, al-Haswieh, al-Dar al-Kabira, al-Ghajar, al-Mashjar al-Jaboubi and al-Qabban in Talbeiseh area.
