Army establishes full control over new areas in eastern countryside of Salamiyeh

Provinces – Army and Armed Forces units, in cooperation with supporting forces, established full control over Jeb al-Mazarea Hill overlooking Salba village east of Salamiyeh city in Hama province, as well as the supply route leading to the village after carrying out.

SANA said that this was achieved as result of a military operation against ISIS gatherings and fortifications in the surroundings of the village, adding that the army units inflicted heavy losses upon ISIS in personnel and equipment during this operation.

The source noted that establishing control over the hill means that army established fire control over Salba village and the supply routes of ISIS terrorists who are holed up in the western part of the village.

Deir Ezzor and Homs

Army units, supported by the Syrian Air Force, carried out concentrated operations against ISIS terrorist organization in Deir Ezzor.

SANA said that the army members engaged in clashes with ISIS terrorists in the vicinity of the airport and on the axis of al-Bugheiliyeh village in the western countryside of the province, killing a number of terrorists and injuring many others.

SANA added that the Syrian Air Force directed intensive strikes on ISIS dens and movement axes in the villages of Ayash, Hatla, al-Husseiniyeh, Huwejet Saqr and the graveyards area, destroying a number of ISIS dens.

Local sources from the countryside of Deir Ezzor said that tension and chaos increased within the ranks of ISIS as it eliminated many of its foreign mercenaries on charges of escaping from the battlefield, adding that ISIS killed two young men while they were trying to escape from the city of al-Mayadin and Hawayej Bo Masaa.

In the far eastern countryside of Homs bordering Deir Ezzor, the Syrian warplanes destroyed a convoy of six large vehicles moving in the northeast of Hamima town.
