Army establishes control over new areas in southern region

Provinces -The army and armed forces on Saturday advanced in a number of areas across country, having control on new regions in southern cities, SANA reported.

Daraa/Sweida

An army unit advanced in the city of Sheikh Miskin, 22 km north of Daraa city and established control over the Housing, al-Madagen and the Water Resources area after destroying the terrorist gatherings there, killing a number of them, while the rest fled, leaving behind their equipment and weapons .

 Another army unit targeted the terrorist organizations’ hideouts in Atman town, 4 km north of Daraa city, destroying their gatherings and sites with all terrorists inside, mostly were of Jabhat al-Nusra.

In Daraa al-Balad, an army unit destroyed a factory for explosive devices and vehicles southwest of al-Hussein Mosque and a car loaded with weapons and ammunition on al-Sad road.

In the southeastern countryside of Sweida province, an army unit targeted the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) vehicles’ to the east of Tal Shagaf, destroying a number of them with all terrorists on board and weapon.

Damascus Countryside

The army’s air force targeted and destroyed a convoy of vehicles for ISIS in Bir al-Qasb area in the southeastern countryside of Damascus near al-Badia desert.

An ammunition depot and a 23 mm anti-aircraft gun were destroyed and a number of terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra and Jaish al-Islam were killed in army airstrikes in Marj al-Sultan village deep in the Eastern Ghouta.

In the northern part of Eastern Ghouta, the airstrikes destroyed a mortar and several fortified positions for Jaish al-Islam terrorists in Harasta farms.

Hama

Meanwhile, the army’s Air force destroyed gatherings of the so-called al-Fateh Army terrorist organization in Kafar Zeta, Lattmeen and in Morek in the northern countryside of Hamacentral province.

Deir Ezzor

The army’s air force launched airstrikes against centers and fortified positions for ISIS in the eastern countryside of the eastern Deir Ezzor province.

The airstrikes took place in the villages of Hatla, al-Mrei’iyeh and al-Jafra, where the ISIS positions targeted were completely destroyed with the terrorists positioned at the sites killed and their machinegun-equipped vehicles destroyed.
