Army eliminates scores of terrorists

Provinces, (ST)- Units of the armed forces on Thursday continued their mop-up operations against terrorists ,killing lots of them and destroying their equipment nationwide.

In Lattakia,a military source said that an army unit carried out a special operation that resulted in killing  all members of an armed terrorist group affiliated to the so-called The Islamic State in Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) in the town of Salma in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

In Damascus city and countryside, a unit of the armed forces clashed with an armed terrorist group in the city of Adra in Damascus Countryside and killed a number of its members, according to an official source.

Terrorist groups on Wednesday sneaked into  the city of Adra, which includes workers’ housing compounds.

 “the terrorists attacked unarmed civilians, while reports indicated that a massacre was committed against the citizens in the area, “a military source said.

A number of terrorists were killed in operations that targeted their groupings and dens in Douma city, Alieh farms, Khan al-Sheeh, Rima farms to the southwest of al-Nabek, Barzeh neighborhood and al-Rheiba.

In another context, a number of terrorists were killed and injured in a blast of a car bomb they were preparing in Jesrin town. Zuhir al-Sabouni was identified among the dead.

In Aleppo, units of the armed forces killed numbers of terrorists in the areas of Handara, al-Sheikh Sa’eed and the surrounding of the Central Prison in Aleppo, Bustan al-Qasr .

Another army unit destroyed dens of armed terrorist groups in the Old City of Aleppo.

In Idleb, scores of terrorists were killed and many others were wounded in special operations targeting terrorist groups’ gatherings and dens in the villages and toens of Um Jerin, al-Majas and Abo al-Duhour.

In Daraa countryside,a military source said that the army units clashed with an armed terrorists group attempted to attack a military post at the entrance to Zamren village in Daraa countryside.

In Homs, an army unit destroyed a terrorists leaders’ hideout in al-Ghasbiah in al-Dar al-Kabira in Homs countryside, killed a number of terrorists and injured others.
