Army eliminates ISIS groups in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor  – A unit of the Army and armed forces eliminated ISIS terrorist groups sneaked into the vicinity of Panorama area in the southwestern outskirts of the eastern city of Deir Ezzor.

A field source said that an army unit had heavy clashes, during the last 24 hours, with ISIS terrorist groups in the vicinity of Panorama area, destroying a number of their machinegun-equipped vehicles, killing scores in their ranks and injuring others while the rest of them escaped leaving the bodies of their dead ones behind, according to Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

 

ISIS terrorists were inflicted heavy losses in personnel and weaponry when army units conducted precise operations against them in Panorama area and the vicinity of al-Thurda Mountain.

The army air force  carried out concentrated blows against ISIS terrorists in al-Tharda mountain and to the west of the military airport of Deir Ezzor.

A source clarified that the sorties destroyed positions containing weapons, ammunition and vehicles, some of which are armored and equipped with machineguns.
