Army Cuts off Terrorists’ Supply Lines to Eastern Aleppo, Offers Gunmen Chance to Lay down Weapon, Settle Their Legal Status

DAMASCUS – The General Command of the Army and Armed Forces on Wednesday offered the gunmen in eastern Aleppo a chance to surrender and hand over their weapons as to get their legal status settled, the Army Command statement said on Wednesday.

 The army Command’s offer, which  aimed to end bloodshed in the area, comes after units of the Syrian Arab army in cooperation with supporting forces carried out successful military operations and managed to cut off all supply routes and corridors through which terrorists used to transfer mercenaries, weapons, and munitions to other terrorists having positions in the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo city, the statement said.

 The military operations are part of the army’s plan to restore security and stability to Aleppo in general.

According to the statement, the gunmen can lay down their weapons and either leave or stay in the city.

The General Command renewed its keenness on the safety and security of all citizens, urging them  to put the national interest above all considerations and cooperate with the Syrian Arab Army as to help end the fighting and restore security, stability and normal life to the city of Aleppo.
