Army continue operations against terrorists

PROVINCES, (ST) – Units of the armed forces on Sunday continued their mop-up operations against terrorists nationwide, killing scores of them and destroying their equipment.

‘the army units killed 29 terrorists and injured others to the southeast of al-Sayyeda Sukaina Shrine, al-Allali and al-Fusol al-Arba’a areas and al-Jamiyat neighborhood in Darayaa city in Damascus Countryside, in addition to destroying a number of terrorists’ cars and equipment, according to a military source.

Elsewhere, other army units destroyed Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists’ dens ,killing and injuring many of them in Madaya, Qreineh neighborhood in Yabroud , Adra al-Balad , Joubar ,Qaboun, Alieh farms in Douma , Zibdin and  al-Mleiha .

Meanwhile, army units thwarted an attempt of armed terrorist groups to attack residents of Abu al-Alaya village in al-Mokharram in Homs countryside and destroyed their dens and groupings in the central provinces of Homs and Hama.

” big numbers of terrorists who attempted to attack Abu al-Alaya village in Jub al-Jarrah area in the eastern countryside of Homs Province, destroying terrorists’ machinegun and different sorts of weapons,”according to a military source.

The source clarified that army units destroyed terrorists’ groupings in Bab Hood and al-Waar neighborhoods in the city of Homs, in addition to other dens in the towns of Talbisa, al-Moshajjar al-janoubi, al-Soultaniyeh, Khadmalo, Salam Gharbi and Khattab, killing many of the terrorists and injuring others.

In another development, a citizen was martyred, two others were injured due to a rocket shell fired by terrorists on al-Zahraa neighborhood square in Homs, a military source told the state-run news agency.

The source added that a rocket shell fired by terrorists from Talbiseh fell on a bus in the main square of al-Zahraa neighborhood, causing the martyrdom of the driver and the injury of two citizens.

Elsewhere, four citizens martyred, others injured due to rocket shells fired by terrorists on Karm al-Shami.

In Aleppo and its countryside, terrorists received big blows at the hand of the army in Talet al-Zarzour and Talet al-Ghali areas, the area surrounding the Central Prison, al-Ta’aneh, Baianoun, al-Marjeh, al-Salyhen, Retyan, Andan, Babis, Karm al-Tarab ,the Industrial City and  in the area surrounding Rasm al-Aboud.

Meanwhile, other army units foiled terrorists attempt to infiltrate from the area near Huzaifa Mosque and Radio station in Aleppo city, killing 2 of them and injuring others. 

In Daraa and its countryside, an army unit killed dozens of  terrorists and injured others in al-Wehda al-Irshadiyeh roundabout in Sheikh Miskin town ,Abu Huraireh and Bilal al-Habashi Mosques, the post office and Katakit, Abu Huraireh and Bilal al-Habashi Mosques, the post office , Katakit ,Daraa al-Balad and the southwest of al-Jumrouk al-Qadim ,according to a military source.
