Army command: Zionist occupation’s attack on peaceful areas in Damascus countryside proves its involvement in supporting terrorism

DAMASCUS,(ST)_ The Israeli enemy committed on Sunday afternoon a heinous attack by targeting two peaceful  areas in Damascus countryside causing material damages to some buildings, the Syrian TV channel reported.

It clarified that Israel targeted peaceful areas in al-Dimas and near the Damascus International airport, stressing that no one was hurt.

“Israel’s direct attack comes after Syrian army has recorded important victories over terrorist organizations in Der Ezzour, Aleppo and other areas,” the General Command of Army and Armed forces said in a statement released today.

It added that the attack proves Israel’s direct involvement in supporting terrorist organizations in Syria  and aims at raising the morale of terrorist organizations, including the Al Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front and the ISIS, that have received successive blows from Syrian army.

“Such acts of aggression will never dissuade Syrian army from going ahead with fighting terrorism across Syria,” the statement concluded.
