Army carries out military operation against terrorists in Idlib countryside, kills more than a hundred terrorists

In the light of the repeated attacks by foreign-backed terrorist organizations on safe villages and towns as well as on the Syrian Army positions adjacent to the de-escalation zones in Idlib and Hama countryside, units of the Syrian Arab army deployed in this area, in cooperation with the Russian air forces, carried out concentrated qualitative military operation against the terrorists in the countryside of Idlib, the Syrian Ministry of Defense said in a statement on Saturday.

Supported by the Russian air forces, the Syrian army targeted the headquarters, fortifications, and ammunition and weapons depots of the terrorists through several concentrated strikes with artillery shells and missiles, the ministry added.

The ministry pointed out that the operation led to the destruction of the terrorists’ headquarters, operation rooms and warehouses that include their weapons, equipment, drones and communications devices, in addition to the destruction of the missile launching pads and a number of cannons and various vehicles.

The operation also led to the killing of 111 terrorists, including leaders and members of the groups that attacked the village of Al-Malajah in Idlib countryside, and to the injury of dozens others, the ministry clarified.
