Army advances in operations against ISIS in Deir Ezzor, eliminating many terrorists

Provinces – Syrian Arab Army units, supported by the Syrian Air Force, carried out operations targeting ISIS positions in a number of neighborhoods in Deir Ezzor city.

SANA said that the Air Force carried out a series of airstrikes on bases, gatherings, and fortified positions of ISIS in the neighborhoods of al-Hamidiye, al-Kanamat, al-Sheikh Yassin, and al-Jbaileh, killing and injuring a number of terrorists.

SANA said that army units, in cooperation with allied forces, advanced further in the operations against ISIS in al-Hamidiye neighborhood, eliminating terrorists in a number of blocks of buildings, services departments, and the main street up to Khadija al-Kubra School.

 

SANA added that many terrorists were left dead or injured following violent clashes between army units and ISIS groups in Borsaeed Street and al-Matar al-Qadim neighborhood.

Later, a military source told SANA that units of army established control on part of the old Airport neighborhood and the industrial building of al-Rusafa neighborhood in Deir Ezzor city.

Hama

Meanwhile, Syrian army units established control over 3 villages in the northeastern countryside of Hama province.

SANA said that the army launched intensive military operations against Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization in Hama northeastern countryside which ended up with retaking the villages of Mashrafet Abu Laffeh, Jeb al-Jamlan and Rasm Mayyal, killing many of the terrorists, injuring others and destroying their weapons and several vehicles equipped with heavy machine guns.

SANA added that the army targeted with missile a booby trapped vehicle before it arrived to one of the Syrian military positions on the axis of Abu Dali village in the countryside.
