Armenia’s foreign minister arrives in Damascus to express solidarity with Syria in the aftermath of earthquake
On February 23rd, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan arrived in Damascus at the head of an official delegation of solidarity with Syria in facing the repercussions of the earthquake.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad received Mirzoyan at Damascus International Airport and said: “we welcome Minister Mirzoyan, whose visit comes at the right time to express the historical and strong relations between the two countries that are constantly developing in the interest of their peoples.”
Mirzoyan arrived at Damascus International Airport on board an Armenian aid plane carrying 36.6 tons of food and relief supplies to help those affected by the earthquake. The shipment will be unloaded at Aleppo International Airport.
