Armenian President affirms his country’s support for Syria after earthquake

President Vahagn Khachaturyan of Armenia has stressed his country’s support for Syria in the face of the repercussions of the devastating earthquake that hit several areas in the country and led to hundreds of casualties.

Khachaturyan yesterday visited the Armenian Embassy in Yerevan where he wrote a message in the book of condolences, expressing his and the Armenian people’s solidarity with the Syrian people and extending condolences to the families of the victims, wishing speedy recovery to the injured.

The Armenian President met with Syria’s Ambassador to Armenia Nora Arissian and discussed with her ways to boost bilateral relations between the two countries.
