Armenia keen on boosting cooperation with Syria

The Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan has stressed his country’s keenness on enhancing cooperation with Syria in all domains, reaffirming Armenia’s support for Syria’s unity and sovereignty.

Mirzoyan made the remarks during his meeting on Friday with Syria’s Ambassador to Armenia Mohammed Haj Ibrahim and the Syrian Attaché at the Embassy Ahmad Al-Azbeh.

“Armenia highly appreciates its historical and deep-rooted relations with Syria. We are following up the situation in Syria and we support Syria’s sovereignty, and territorial integrity. This is our stance which hasn’t changed,” Mirzoyan said, according to SANA.

The minister expressed his country’s keenness on reactivating economic relations between Syria and Armenia for the welfare of the peoples of both countries.

 On his part, Ambassador Haj Ibrahim thanked the Armenian government and people for supporting Syria during the period of the terrorist war, wishing prosperity and progress to the people and state of Armenia, and all success for the new Armenia government in achieving its development goals.
