Armed forces foil terrorist’s bid to infiltrate from Jordan

PROVINCES,(ST)_ Fighting is reportedly continued in several sites across Syria between armed forces and terrorist groups to restore stability and security to the country.

In South, units of armed forces repelled two armed terrorist group’s bid to sneak from Jordan into Syria through Tal Shehab town and al-Mata’ayeh town in Daraa countryside.

“One of the terrorist groups tried to enter Syrian territories using 10 machinegun-equipped cars packed with ammunitions and weapons, but the armed forces confronted it and killed many of them,” SANA reported.

It added that 9 terrorists have been killed and 13 others injured inside a hideout in a-Naema town in the same province.

“The injured have been transferred by the terrorists to field hospitals near the Syrian-Jordanian border to be treated,” an official source said.

Meanwhile, other units of armed forces shelled a terrorists’ hideout in Barze district and eliminated 5 terrorists in clashes broke out in Jobar district in Damascus countryside.

In the eastern part of the country, a fighting flared up between a unit of armed forces and armed terrorist group in al-Jbeleh alley in Der Ezzour province ended in killing several terrorists and injuring others.

However, the fiercest fighting raged in Homs countryside where a tunnel and factory for producing explosive devices were destroyed in qualitative operations carried out by the armed forces.

As many as 13 explosive devices, which were planted on Palmyra-Homs road, were dismantled.

Competent authorities discovered several bodies of martyrs killed by armed terrorist groups in al-Qsir countryside.

Elsewhere, units of armed forces destroyed many terrorist groupings in 19 sites in Idleb countryside. While locals of al-Yosofeya town in Hasaka province confronted terrorists from al-NusraFront .

At least 6 terrorists were killed in the confrontation and their weapons were confiscated. 

Syria is in a state of war and its army is doing its duty as regard defending homeland and citizens, and fighting terrorist groups to cleanse the country from terrorists.

The terrorist groups, who perpetrate heinous crimes against citizens and destroy the country’s infrastructure, are funded and supported by Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Britain, France, and the US.
