Armed Forces Advance in Many Areas Across Country

Provinces, (ST)- In a series of successful military operations, the armed forces on Saturday eliminated a number of terrorists and their dens and groupings in the southern countryside of Damascus and eastern Ghota.

In the southern countryside of Damascus, an official source told a local media  that most  members of an armed  terrorist group were killed in Yelda.

The armed forces also killed a number of terrorists and destroyed their weapons and ammunitions in Babbila.

In Eastern Ghota, the armed forces smashed 15 terrorists affiliated to the so-called “Ahfad al-Rasoul Brigade” and destroyed a store used for hiding their weapons and ammunitions in al-Nashabiya farms. 

The armed forces also killed members of a terrorist group and injured others in the farms of Deir salman town, while another unit destroyed a terrorists’ dens for hiding weapons and ammunitions in the farms of Mlaiha.

One of the snipers near the power station in Adra was killed and a terrorists’ car was destroyed to the east of Adra central prison.    

In Aleppo, units of the armed forces progressed further in hunting down the terrorists, killing all members of armed terrorist groups who had been hiding in a number of residential buildings in al-Zebdiyeh neighborhood.

In series of successful military operations, the armed forces also crushed terrorists and their dens in the villages and towns of Aleppo.

Units of the armed forces foiled an attempt by terrorists to cross Lebanon into the Syrian territories of Talkalakh countryside and killed and injured members of armed terrorist groups in many neighborhoods, villages and town in Homs.

The army units, in cooperation with the border guards, confronted terrorists who tried to infiltrate from Lebanon into Syria through the sites of Edlin and al-Ghida in the countryside of Talkalakh, according to an official source.

The source added that a truck loaded with tons of explosives was dismantled during the continuous pursuit of terrorists in al-Hadath town in the eastern countryside of Homs.

The source also mentioned that an army unit killed all members of an armed terrorist group in al-Turkman square in al-Hosn town, a Tunisian  terrorist was identified among the dead.

Other army units destroyed terrorists’ groupings and dens in the villages and towns of Taldao, Kfarlaha, al-Houleh, al-Khaldiyeh, al-Dar al-Kabira and al-Ghanto, killing and wounding many terrorists.

In the city of Homs, scores of terrorist were killed and others were wounded in a series of special army operations targeting their groupings in the neighborhoods of al-Qusour, al-Warsheh, Bab Hood and Jouret al-Shayah.

In Daraa, units of the armed forces foiled an attempt by terrorists to blast several explosive devices planted by them in  residential areas.

The army units killed scores of terrorists in al-Nazihin camp and Jordan Street in the city of Daraa.

Two terrorists’ ggoupings were destroyed to the north of Ghassan Aba Zaid mosque and to the south of the Syriatel building in Daraa al-Balad neighborhood. In Attman town,two of the terrorists cars, which were loaded with weapons and ammunitions and  23mm anti-aircraft gun, were crushed.

Special operations were carried out by the armed forces in the villages and towns of Daraa, resulting in killing scores of terrorists.

A unit of the armed forces foiled an attempt to explode two explosive devices weighing 255 kg, planted near Martyr Ayham al-Ghazali school in Qarsa.
