Argentine, Cuban Delegation Express Solidarity with Syria

A delegation representing several media outlets and Non-Governmental Organizations in Argentina and Cuba have affirmed their support for Syrian people in confronting the terrorist war being waged against them.

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the delegation visited on Monday the Syrian Embassy in Havana and voiced their support for the steadfast Syrian people in the face of war.

Editor-in-Chief of Resumen newspaper in Argentina Carlos Aznárez described what is going on in Syria as a ‘direct and indirect aggression by imperialism and its allies’, asserting that this fact is no longer a secret to anyone.

 “We have been following up what is happening in Syria since 2011,” Aznárez said, indicating that last week the delegation visited the Syrian embassy in Buenos Aires and expressed their solidarity with Syria against the recent U.S. aggression that targeted al-Shayrat airfield in Syria.

“Over the past two weeks, we have made several activities in Argentina to support Syrian people and army. We have a dominant radio network in Argentina, Latin America and some European countries and we seek shedding light on the reality of events in Syria,” he added, stressing that what happened in Khan Sheikhon area in Idlib countryside is a crime against humanity perpetrated by the United States and its allies.

Aznárez asked “why did not  we see white helmets when terrorist organizations committed crimes against the people of  Kafraya and al-Fouaa?”

“We have no doubt that America, some NATO members and Israel offer full support to terrorists,” he said, affirming that the delegation support Syria and Hezbollah as both of them face the same foreign threats.

On her part, President of Argentina Association for Human Rights Graciela Rosenblum, said that there must be coordination with their counterparts in Latin America countries as many intellectuals and political activists follow up what western media publish about events in Syria.

President of International Committee for Solidarity with Cuba Graciela Ramirez Cruz said that Syria is the heart of the world and it is a political example for all world countries that seek preserving their sovereignty and dignity.

She referred to the wisdom of President Bashar al-Assad , calling on nobles all over the world to stand by Syria.

Head of the Syrian diplomatic mission in Havana Dr. Loay al-Oja reiterated that Syria defends the whole world, pointing out that the steadfastness of the Syrian people, army and leadership and the support of Syria’s friend are behind Syria’s victory over terrorism.
