Damascus (ST) – More than 250 projects were hosted by the distinguished projects exhibition for the students of the Faculty of architectural engineering of Damascus University, which opened on Monday and will last for a week.
Rector of Damascus University Muhammad Osama Al-Jabban stated that the exhibition comes within the series of activities held by the university on the occasion of the University’s 100th foundation universary.
He noted the importance of the ideas and works presented that express the excellence of the students of the Faculty of Architecture in all years, which contributes to linking the outputs of the university with the community and meeting the requirements of the labor market.
In turn, Dean of the Faculty of Architectural Engineering, Oqba Fakush, stressed the importance of the exhibition as it constitutes an incentive for students to make distinguished projects. He pointed out the level of the projects presented, the techniques used by the students, and the principles adopted in their plans and modern designs, which are comparable to what is being achieved in international universities.
