Archbishop of the Orthodox Church throughout Chile calls for lifting unilateral economic measures on Syria

His Eminence Monsignor Sergios Abed, Archbishop of the Orthodox Church throughout Chile, called for the lifting of unilateral coercive economic measures targeting the Syrian people. His Eminence further called for the Syrians to rally around their country and leadership.
On a visit to the Syrian Embassy in Santiago, Monsignor Abed stressed that the circumstances the world is going through these days necessitate all Syrians to unite among themselves and rally around their country and leadership. His Eminence called for the lifting of unilateral coercive Western economic measures that target the basic elements of the Syrian people’s lives.
Monsignor Abed expressed his happiness for visiting the embassy, which he described as the home of all Syrians, where he met with members of the embassy and a number of the Syrian community in Chile.
For his part, the Chargé d’Affaires at the embassy, Minister Counselor Ayham al-Malazi, affirmed that the embassy will always remain a warm embrace for all Syrians in the expatriate and will work to strengthen the relationship with the expatriates, serve their issues and help solve the problems they face in their expatriation.
