Archbishop Hanna: Whoever supports the Palestinian cause must stand with Syria

On January 21st, Archbishop Atallah Hanna, Greek Orthodox Archbishop of Sebastia in occupied Jerusalem, announced his joining the popular Arab and international campaign to lift the siege on Syria.

Archbishop Hanna said in a speech in the context of the campaign: “We in Jerusalem, the capital of Palestine, stand by Syria, and all the sincere efforts to lift the siege on it and support it in the face of the conspiracies against it.”

He said that whoever defends Palestine and supports the Palestinian cause must automatically stand on the side of Syria, which was subjected to many challenges and many conspiracies, with the aim of weakening it, but it withstood despite all that.

He stated that the enemies of Syria are the enemies of the entire Arab nation, and the enemies of Palestine in particular.

He called for a wide Arab and international movement within the framework of this campaign, in support of Syria, the beating heart of Arabism, and in order to demand the lifting of the unjust siege on it.

It is noteworthy that the popular Arab and international campaign to lift the siege on Syria was launched on the 28th of last month, at the invitation of the President of the International Arab Center for Communication and Solidarity Maan Bashour, with the participation of Arab parties, organizations and personalities.

The campaign aims to cement solidarity with Syria and increase the pressure to lift the unjust siege imposed on it.
