Archbishop Atallah Hanna: Al-Quds witnessing unprecedented Israeli settlement expansion campaign to judiaze it

Archbishop Atallah Hanna of Sebastia for the Greek Orthodox has stressed that the city of Al-Quds will continue to be the capital of Palestine, reiterating that the Palestinians are united in the confrontation of the Israeli occupation’s plan to judaize this holy city.

In a statement reported by Maan news Agency, archbishop Hanna said that Al-Quds is currently facing an unprecedented Israeli settlement expansion campaign, particularly in Al-Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood. He clarified that the occupation authorities delivered evacuation notices to about 2200 Palestinians residing in this area with the aim of giving their houses to Israeli settlers.

The Palestinian Al-Bustan neighborhood has also witnessed a heavy settlement campaign, the archbishop added, pointing out that the occupation delivered 70 demolition notices to 70 Palestinian houses with the aim of evacuating Al-Quds from the Palestinians and judaizing it.

Hanna urged Islamic and Christian spiritual leaders and all who believe in the values of right and justice to support the Palestinian people’s struggle to protect the history and heritage of Al
