Arbaji: Coordination between Syrian, Lebanese Armies to counter terrorism

BEIRUT, (ST) _ Lebanese minister of Culture Raymond Arbaji stressed the need for coordination between the Syrian and Lebanese armies to confront terrorism and terrorists who are stationed in the Lebanese eastern town of Arsal, “There is no obstacle to this coordination between the two countries, “the Lebanese minister stressed

In a televised interview yesterday, Arbaji added,

“What awaits us in Lebanon is difficult and this fact should motivate us to confront terrorism,” pointing out that everyone feels the existing danger and that the current threat affects Lebanon and the Lebanese.

In a similar statement, member of the political bureau of the Lebanese Marada Movement Vera Yameen stressed the need to adhere to the trio of the Lebanese army, people and the resistance to ward off the threat of terrorism that threatens Lebanon from abroad.

Yameen called for adherence to the option of resistance noting, “We are an integral part of the Arab identity and if the whole region is threatened, this means that we are also threatened, and if we do not interfere, it means we will not be able to defend ourselves in the event we are targeted by terrorism”.
