Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi criticized the UN Security Council’s failure to take appropriate decisions on Zionist crimes in Lebanon because of the unilateral policies pursued by the United States.
In today’s statement, Araghchi regretted the failure of the Security Council to adopt an appropriate resolution and to issue a simple condemnation statement because of American policies following its meeting to discuss the attacks on Lebanon by the Israeli entity.
Araghchi explained that the talks held by the Iranian delegation with the Europeans on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meetings touched on the topic of negotiations on the peaceful Iranian nuclear file, considering that various countries will not be able to reach the path of confidence-building only through negotiations and not through sanctions or pressure.
