On December 18, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that terrorism represents a common threat and therefore the responsibility to combat it rests with all countries.
“Iran refused to hold talks with the United States and is not ready to negotiate with it on any level because America, with its withdrawal from the nuclear agreement, made negotiations with it an unsuccessful experience,” Araghchi said in an interview with the Chinese CGTN television.
Araghchi said that Iran wants to maintain this agreement and does not seek to terminate it and Iran’s reduction of its obligations in the framework of the nuclear agreement was in response to the American measures.
Araghchi noted that the US embargo on Iran created difficulties for it, but it also created opportunities.
Araghchi said that Russia and China have historical ties with some countries in the Middle East, and they play a constructive role in solving problems.
