Arab Writers Union launches the creative, union prize for poetry, story and theater, in addition to a competition for young writers

Damascus, (ST) – The Arab Writers Union launched the Union’s Creative Prize, which this year is devoted to children’s literature and bears the name of the late poet Suleiman Al-Issa.

The union also launched a competition for young writers that, includes story, poetry and theater.

Regarding the Prize, the Head of the Arab Writers Union, Dr. Muhammad Al-Hourani said that this award is to motivate and encourage writers whom the war tried to deprive them off their talents, and this Prize is a first step is devoted to children’s literature because children are the basics in building a homeland.

As for the youth competition, it is solely for young people with talent and who are able to express this talent in writing.
