Arab Writers Union condemns assassination of Shireen Abu Akleh

The Arab Writers Union affirmed that the assassination of the Palestinian media figure, Shireen Abu Akleh, is a criminal act added to the crimes of the Israeli occupation against our Palestinian people and steadfastness in the face of Zionist aggression and arrogance.

In a statement today, the union considered that this crime was an attempt by the occupation authorities to prevent the truth from reaching the world, which sided with the Zionists and kept silent about their crimes.

The statement said that the Union condemns this crime and it will be  added to the record of the occupation, which is full of criminality, calling on the whole world to stand by the cause of the Palestinian Arab people and their legitimate rights, foremost of which is the right of return, self-determination and the establishment of its state on its national soil.

The Union stressed that force and resistance in word, position and action is the only way to stop the aggression of the occupation, calling on all free people of the world to expose the arrogance of the Zionist crimes committed against our people and reject all normalization attempts that are intended to undermine the Palestinian cause and end the resistance.
