Arab writers and intellectuals strongly condemn Israel’s brutal aggression against Gaza Strip
Dozens of Arab writers and intellectuals strongly condemned the brutal aggression carried out by the Israeli occupation against the Gaza Strip, calling on the entire Arab nation, governments, organizations, peoples and individuals, to take their part effectively in supporting their Palestinian brothers in confronting this blatant aggression.
“At this defining moment in which Israel is waging a war of extermination against our people in Gaza, using terrorism claims that no longer deceive anyone, we stand to announce our unlimited support for the people of Gaza in their legitimate resistance and our unlimited condemnation of Israel in its brutal and barbaric aggression against the lives of innocent people.” The writers and intellectuals said in their statement.
They pointed out that the Israeli occupation hates innocence, truth and kills children and journalists. It bulldozes olive trees, and escalates violations.
The statement referred to Israeli rejection of all UN resolutions, expanding the settlement policy , aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque, encouraging violence among settlers, arming them, besieging the Gaza Strip in addition starving its people.
The Arab writers added in their statement: “ Israeli enemy has transcended all laws and borders to reach its final goal, represented internally by the systematic ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people, so that Palestine becomes a ‘land without a people for a people without a land’ and externally by undermining the Palestinian cause through insisting on projects of normalization which aim to eliminate the Palestinians and Arabs of their dignity.”
The statement saluted Palestinian people in Gaza in particular, and in Palestine in general, noting their legendary steadfastness and struggle in defense of their historical right to their land and their courageous civilization stand against the vanguards of colonialism, fascism and racism.
The Arab writers and intellectuals called on the entire Arab nation, including governments, organizations, peoples, and individuals, to support asking them all to their Palestinian brothers in the face of this blatant aggression, and to help them in all possible moral and material ways.
In a statement to SANA, the head of the Arab Writers Union, Dr. Muhammad Al-Hourani, said: “This statement came within the framework of coordinating efforts between Arab writers and intellectuals to support the resistance fighters in Palestine, Lebanon, and every part of our Arab land, after the Al-Aqsa Flood epic restored the great hope of the people of the nation to liberate Palestine from The abomination of Zionist terrorism.
Al-Hourani stressed that the intellectual and the writer are the conscience of the nation, and it is their duty to expose the Zionist crime and the Western conspiracy in supporting the Zionist entity in its targeting of women, children, and medical teams in this crime.
