Arab sports media delegation in Syria

Damascus – Chairman of the General Sports Federation, Muaffaq Jumaa, said that sport is a message of peace and a culture of dialogue, adding that, in Syria, the sport has become a national state which was able to bring millions together, SANA reported.

Jumaa remarks came during his meeting with the Arab spots media delegation in Damascus on Sunday.

In turn, Chairman of the delegation and Editor-in-Chief of Rum News Agency, Saleh al-Rashed, from Jordan said “Our visit to Syria and our participation in the Arab Media Forum is a message to the Olympic Committee and the International Federation of Football Association (FIFA) to lift siege and allow the Syrian teams play on their ground and among their audience which would help them attain new achievements.

On Saturday, the visiting delegation toured al-Fayhaa and Barada Sports Clubs. Members of the delegation also will visit the media institutions today.
