Arab personalities and forces: Election of President Al-Assad reflects the will of Syrian people and their adherence to their independent choice
Arab personalities, forces and parties affirmed that the election of President Bashar al-Assad as President of the Syrian Arab Republic reflects the will of the Syrian people and their adherence to their independent choice and their desire to achieve security and peace. They noted that the wide participation of Syrians in elections is an indication of their choice of President al-Assad’s courageous political approach to defend the freedom and sovereignty of Syria.
The International Federation of Arab Trade Unions conveyed its warmest congratulations and sincere wishes to the Syrian people for the re-election of President Al-Assad as President of the Syrian Arab Republic.
The Secretary-General of the Union, Ghassan Ghosn, said in a statement that the Syrian people reaffirmed their independent democratic choice through the ballot boxes and their adherence to the courageous political approach taken by the Syrian leadership in defense of Syria’s freedom, sovereignty and independence. The participation of the Syrian people in elections also reflects their adherence to national unity and to confronting imperialist and Zionist schemes, occupation, aggression and terrorism.
Sheikh Akl of the Unitarian Muslim Sect in Lebanon, , expressed his warmest congratulations to the Syrian people on the results of the presidential elections in Syria and the deserved victory of Dr. Bashar Al-Assad.
He said that Syria will remain under the auspices of President Al-Assad “a signal of freedom and sovereignty, the center of the Arab and Islamic nations and the steadfast axis of resistance.”
In turn, the Palestinian Commandos (Al-Saika) organization congratulated the Syrian people on the victory of President Al-Assad in the presidential elections, noting that the election results constitute a blow to the plans of anti-Syrian countries.
Abu Arab, a member of the organization’s general leadership, said in a statement that Syria won the battle of dignity and honor and was able to face all the enemies of humanity and to defend courageously not only for Syria but for the dignity and future of the entire Arab nation.
A member of the Regional Command in the Baath Arab Socialist Party, Secretary of the Western and Central Bekaa Branch in Lebanon, Dr. Fadi Al-Ali, affirmed that the victory of Syria’s army, people and leadership on the reactionary American Zionist axis is crowned by President Al-Assad’s victory.
During a reception at the party’s headquarters in the town of Jalala, Al-Ali said, “The success of the elections in Syria and the great popular support for President Assad will result in changing the balance and equations of power in the region which in turn would return Syria to its pivotal role.”
The writer in the Omani newspaper Al-Watan, Khamis bin Habib Al-Tobi, affirmed that the Syrian people’ confidence in President Assad and their keenness to make this entitlement a success constitute a blow to the terrorist plot that targeted Syria and wanted it out of all regional and even international equations.
Al-Tobi said: “The wide participation of the Syrian people despite the difficulties and challenges reflects their belonging, loyalty to their homeland Syria and its leadership, and that they are going on in the steadfastness march behind the leader whom they put their full confidence in, namely: President Bashar al-Assad.
The head of the Alliance of National State Forces in Iraq, Ammar al-Hakim, expressed his congratulations to the Syrian people for the success of the presidential elections and the victory of Dr. Bashar Al-Assad with an absolute majority, underlining the importance of renewing confidence in President Al-Assad in a difficult stage in Syria’s history.
Al-Hakim said that the renewal of confidence in President Al-Assad reflects the desire of the Syrian people to extend the authority of the state and achieve security and peace, highlighting the national cohesion in Syria in light of these elections.
Head of the Jordanian, Syrian, Iraqi, and Palestinian Parliamentary Fraternity Committee in the Jordanian Parliament, Representative Abdul Karim Faisal Al-Daghmi, expressed his sincere congratulations on the occasion of President Al-Assad’s victory in the presidential elections.
Al-Daghmi said that the presidential elections renewed the brotherly Syrian people’s confidence in the exceptional leadership of President al-Assad, his patriotic and national stances, and his enlightened ideas. He noted that President Al-Assad leads Syria towards the glory and supports the resistance axis with all capabilities for the sake of the dignity of Arab people and the liberation of Palestine and the occupied Arab lands from the Zionist colonialists and their allies.
The Archbishop of Sao Paulo and all of Brazil, Damaskinos Mansour, congratulated the re-election of President Al-Assad as the President of the Syrian Arab Republic. He said that the leader who had wisdom, insight, patience and steadfastness during the years of the global and unjust war against Syria must be helped by God, and this is what happened.
Bishop George Khoury, Archbishop of the Melkite Roman Catholics in Brazil, offered his warmest congratulations on the victory of President Al-Assad in the presidential elections.
