Arab Parliament: Israeli Knesset’s decision to reject the establishment of a Palestinian state is a further violation of international law
The Arab Parliament condemned the decision of the so-called “Knesset” of the Israeli occupation entity to reject the establishment of a Palestinian state, indicating that this decision is a blatant challenge to all international laws and international legitimacy resolutions and it undermins all international efforts seeking to calm the situation and stop the aggression against Gaza.
The Arab Parliament affirmed in a statement today that the recognition of the State of Palestine by 149 member states of the United Nations is an embodiment of a strong international will for the necessity of establishing an independent sovereign Palestinian state, indicating that the occupying entity must be aware that there is no peace or stability in the region without the establishment of a Palestinian state.
The Arab Parliament called on international and regional parliaments to urge their countries that have not yet recognized the State of Palestine to take this step as soon as possible and support the State of Palestine’s full membership in the United Nations, calling for freezing the membership of the occupying entity in the Inter-Parliamentary Union and international organizations to force the Zionist entity to adhere to the resolutions of international legitimacy and for protecting all the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
The Arab Parliament reaffirmed its continued international and parliamentary efforts and endeavors to stop the aggression, genocidal war, ethnic cleansing, and forced displacement practiced against civilians, including children, women, and the elderly in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. The Arab Parliament further reaffirmed its continued support for the Palestinian people and their just national cause until they obtain their legitimate rights of return, freedom, and self-determination, as well as the establishment of an independent state with the city of Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital.
