Arab Parliament condemns the continued Israeli aggression against Gaza and the attacks on Syrian territory
Cairo-(ST)- Arab parliamentarians condemned the continued aggression of the Israeli occupation entity against the Gaza Strip and its repeated attacks on Syrian territory, stressing the need for urgent action to put an end to these brutal crimes.
During the plenary session of the Arab Parliament at the headquarters of the League of Arab States, the parliamentarians warned of the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip ,the genocide committed by the Zionist entity, and the theft of Palestinian natural resources, especially gas, demanding international action to stop these crimes.
Arab Parliament Speaker Adel Abdel Rahman Al-Asoumi said in his speech: “We are meeting for the fourth time and our brothers in Palestine are still facing the most heinous brutal crimes committed by the Israeli occupation and the destruction of facilities and infrastructure in the greatest crime against humanity.”
Al-Asomi pointed out that despite the issuance of a binding resolution by the UN Security Council to cease fire, the Israeli occupation continues its crimes and brutality.He denounced the paralysis of the Security Council in granting Palestine full membership due to the American veto
The Speaker of the Arab Parliament stressed that the crimes committed by the occupying entity discredit the force of international law due to Western double standards, which must stop immediately.
In turn, members of the Syrian People’s Assembly, members of the Arab Parliament, stressed the necessity and importance of redoubling efforts to stop the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and protect the defenseless Palestinian people.
Member of the Arab Parliament and member of the Syrian People’s Assembly, Ahmed Saleh Ibrahim, said in a statement to SANA’s correspondent in Cairo: “We discussed issues related to the current Arab reality, the brutal Zionist aggression against the Gaza Strip, the attacks carried out by the American and Turkish occupation forces on Syrian lands, and the role played by the League of Nations.” Arab League towards the nation’s issues and the need to take positions on them.
For her part, member of the Arab Parliament and member of the Syrian People’s Assembly, Ghada Ibrahim, confirmed in a similar statement that the Arab Parliament condemned the attacks on Syrian lands and studied activating joint Arab cooperation in order to identify Arab issues and confront attacks on Arab countries, coinciding with the upcoming Arab summit in a way that achieves shared Arab interests.
In turn, member of the Arab Parliament and member of the Syrian People’s Assembly, Sheikh Jaber Al-Kharfan, stressed in a similar statement the necessity of the exit of illegal foreign forces from Syrian territory, and the Arab endeavor to lift the unjust Western economic siege on Syria.
Member of the Arab Parliament and member of the Syrian People’s Assembly, Wahid al-Zaal, said in a similar statement: “We stressed the necessity of confronting the attacks on Syrian territory and the illegality of the presence of foreign forces on its territory.”
